A summary of alignment verifications and checks of a sliding tablesaw, featuring the Format-4 Kappa 400 x-motion machine (but applicable to any sliding tablesaw). Includes tools required, starting from a flat reference, sliding table alignment for height and toe-out, outrigger verification, checking arbor run-out, blade height and angle, calibrating the rip fence, riving knife set-up, calibrating for square and crosscut stop accuracy, and scoring blade adjustment. This article is inspired by David P. Best and most of the material is indebted to his teaching expertise.
