Occasional Table in Ironbark

I was working with a client on another project in Ironbark when she asked for a small table to go into an occasional setting. The recycled Ironbark was gorgeous so the simpler the better. And then we hit on the idea of just piling pieces together like a box fire. Quite literally. There is no joinery of any kind. The beauty of this arrangement is that, from time to time, alternate timber faces may be positioned on top to refresh the look.

Here is an example of a bespoke piece of furniture that costs very little. I love the result. So does the client.
