Custom Clock

David always wanted to make a clock with separate components that are arranged on a wall. So he designed and built this clock for his kitchen wall, and used ivory from a demolished piano. He hand-carved the numbers from Wenge. As the recycled ivory is approximately 0.5mm thick (or even thinner), David used a plug cutter to make plugs out of the original piano keys, and then carefully glued them into holes for the clock demarcations. The delicate Silky Oak ring is turned from a solid piece of timber.
